WALC Work Days

WALC need more people to become involved, so,
if you enjoy the Commons, please come along and volunteer
to be on the committee and/or join our working groups.
It doesn't take up too much time, and you would be helping to preserve
the Commons for the good of local residents and wildlife.

All our talks are in Wadsley Church Hall, Worrall Rd. S6 4BA at 7.30pm
Free refreshments, which usually include
delicious home made cake, and a cup of tea or coffee.

The making of our Scottish garden.

A chance to see the Paintings of Old Wadsley by Major Kaye
and Photographs of the same locations today.

Monday 9th September, 2019
“The Sheffield 'Free Bird' Challenge!”

An Illustrated talk by Peter Brown of the RSPB
Pete spent 2016 traveling around the Sheffield area for free,
by boots and bus pass, to collect sightings
of as many bird species as he could,
and raise money for cancer research. 
His talk looks at his journeys and the highs and lows he encountered on them. 
It shows the richness of the bird life in our city and its surroundings.
7.30pm, Wadsley Church Hall.
